Todd and Karyn's Mantells Auckland City Wedding

On a beautiful March day Todd and Karyn tied the knot at St Mathews in the city, following on to celebrate with friends and family at Mantells on the Water.

Karyn wanted a fresh summery look that complimented her soft colour palette. We chose blush pink 'Keira' and ivory 'Patience' David Austin roses, and standard and spray roses in soft ivories and pale pinks, ivory freesia, and lisianthus, interspersed with fresh and sweetly scented geranium foliage.

Their stunning wedding imagery was captured by the lovely and talented Kimberley Kelly from

The crisp green geranium and buds of freesia and lisianthus give the bouquets that fresh contrast that works so beautifully against all the softer shades.

Thanks so much to Karyn and Todd for letting us share their beautiful wedding album and to Kimberley whose beautiful images are a pleasure to see.

Do contact Kimberley if you are looking for someone to capture your special day.

Anna and Edmundo's Abbeville Estate Wedding

Abbeville Estate is Auckland's newest wedding venue and easily makes it into my top 5 favourite venues to host a wedding. Nestled in picturesque farmland near the Auckland airport, Abbeville is a beautiful blend of quaint historic buildings with a professional modern approach to planning wedding's and events.

Our lovely client's Anna and Edmundo were excited to embrace the vintage aesthetic of Abbeville for their special day and loved the idea of soft neutral tones with a relaxed whimsical feel for their flowers.

These amazing images were shot by Sutherland Kovach whose work is second to none. I love the light fresh and natural tone in their photographic style, which feels very authentic and without pretense, but at the same time flawless and refined.

Anna carried a posy of  blooms in ivories and creams, including David Austin roses, lisianthus, freesia, queen anne's lace, dahlia and veronica, interspersed with geranium. She wanted a relaxed and un-manicured look with textural touches of wispy leaves and buds.

Edmundo and his Groomsman wore buttonholes with small starlight cream spray roses and ivy leaf.
The ladies corsages were clusters of spray roses, freesia, lisianthus, veronica and sweet william.

I particularly loved creating the ladies corsages which were like mini posies unto themselves with gorgeous texture and colour.

The chapel at Abbeville is over 150 years old and is so pretty with its stained glass windows and white wash interior. The freshly picked and natural look of the flowers worked perfectly to compliment and not overtake the ceremony space.

We adorned the chapel pews with miniature jars with small posies if roses, lisianthus, queen annes lace and foliage. The large pedestal arrangements included hydrangea, dahlia, veronica, roses, and lisianthus with ivy and angelica leaf.

What an absolutely gorgeous couple and a beautiful shot of their nuptials by Sutherland Kovach.
Isn't the light from the stained glass window amazing.

The reception is just a short stroll from the chapel and is another gorgeous light building that is laid out beautifully with crispy white cloths and ghost chairs. On each table we placed a white ceramic urn filled with freesia, lisianthus, roses, dahlias, queen annes lace, sweet william, and veronica in ivories and creams, with foliage interspersed.

Again, I loved creatin these arrangements with the textural touches interspersed, almost like a little tousled garden of wild flowers in each vase.

The head table was adorned with runner of mini posies and vases ready and waiting to hold the bridal and bridesmaid's bouquets.

Huge congratulations to Anna and Edmundo on their beautiful wedding. It was a absolute pleasure to be a part of!

And for future Brides and Grooms looking for a wedding venue like no other, do check out Abbeville Estate, and then do book me, because I looove to create flowers for this place! And then book Sutherland Kovach because.... well did you see these stunning photos!!?

Peach and Navy Mantells Wedding

I have the extreme pleasure of showing you these exceptionally gorgeous wedding photos from our lovely client's Kristina and Tai's wedding at the end of 2012. They were lucky enough to marry in peony season so of course they were the natural choice.
Kristina and Tai chose a semi-vintage theme for their wedding with a palette of ivory, navy and soft apricot and peach tones.
These amazing photos were captured by Bubblerock Studios whose work is always a visual delight.

Kristina's bouquet was created with ivory peonies and roses and bound in navy and ivory ribbon.
You just can't go past peonies and roses for a timeless wedding bouquet.

Kristina's bridesmaid carried these amazing salmon peonies called "coral sunset" which were mixed with soft pink, coral and ivory peonies and roses. The bouquet looked fabulous contrasted with the navy attire.

Mantells is a chic venue nestled in the heart of Mt Eden. I love how Kristina and Tai brought their heritage into the ceremony with these beautiful tapa cloths.

These beautiful and touching moments are captured so exquisitely by Bubblerock.

Kristina and Tai make one seriously elegant couple!

For the reception tables we created these posies of ivory, pink and peach roses, and peonies, placed in silver footed urn vases, placed on mirror tiles and surrounded by tea light candles in glass votive holders.

What a stunning wedding to be a part of!
Huge thanks to Kristina and Tai for choosing us to be the floral part of their special day and to Bubblerock who seriously rock! Check out more of their amazing work at their website or get friendly with them on facebook
